Plot: Fugitive Dr. Bruce Banner must utilize the genetic accident that transforms him into a giant, rampaging hulk to stop a former soldier that purposely becomes an even more dangerous version.
I actually did not hate the first movie as much as everyone though it's still incredible how much better this movie is Both the story and the acting (Norton and Tyler have nice chemistry.. plus Tyler is forever cool for Empire Records) are very solid. My only gripe is with the special fx, in particular for the Hulk and the Abomination. They looked too much like stuff I'd see in Hellboy II Some more issues: my friend Will who's a comicerati thought the motivation for Abomination was super weak. I had a problem with Banner jumping off the helicopter not knowing if he would transform again. I think the plot woulda worked better if they made all that lab experiment cure temporary Will also tells me the other scientist injured at the end of the movie will become The Leader Marvel Studios is really pulling a coup with this one, making this two for two for its first fully funded releases (the other one being the little flick called Iron Man). Big ups to Norton who was a big driving force (he also has writing credits) behind this movie. Zak Penn also should get stars for the screenplay. This is the first good movie for me from Leterrier The Incredible Hulk did over 50M in its opening weekend. One of the year's best, solid 3.5 to 4 out of 5 The one sheet
