Plot: "21" is the fact-based story about six MIT students who were trained to become experts in card counting and subsequently took Vegas casinos for millions in winnings.
Very solid, could almost be a four-starrer but it's so predictable. Maybe predicting what happens in movies is lame too. Anyway. The best gambling movie since that Damon flick Rounders 21 is based on the real life story of MIT kids who counted cards, their story is chronicled in the book Bringing Down The House Big kudos on MGMT for having their song "Time To Pretend" opening the movie. That first shot was quite a tour de force actually, the way it rotates around the bridge to zoom on the kid biking. Special fx no doubt, whatever The thing kinda makes card counting easy haha I dunno. Question, can someone explain that opening statistic question with the 3 boards and % of chance of winning changing? I suck (cy comes thru with this wikped entry) I really liked Kevin Spacy, well up to the end. Not so much Morpheus but it was really good casting in general. Except that one Asian chick. I could not stand to see her. The Korean kid (Aaron Yoo from Disturbia) was kinda weird but it worked. The Bosworth was looking quite good, except in that scene where she goes see the kid at the tailor's. I like the lead, first time I seen him Good ending Links - http://kewlmuzik.blogspot.com/2007/12/mgmt-time-to-pretend.html - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monty_Hall_problem Last Updated 6/11/2008 9:14:37 PM 2hr 03min / Directed by Robert Luketic / Starring Kevin Spacey, Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth, Laurence Fishburne, Liza LaPira / Language: English / Watched: DVD Also by Robert Luketic - filmography (4 movies)
