Plot: While in post-war Berlin to cover the Potsdam Conference, an American military journalist is drawn into a murder investigation which involves his former mistress and his driver.

I'm in general a fan of Clooney and Soderbergh so this was quite painful for me: stock downgraded. The movie's whole point was to emulate Film Noir in general and Casablanca in particular, or at least in mood (from poster which I commend to last scene to much much more), although wikped pointed out how it incorporated modern aspects (sex)

"The Good German" refers to people in Nazi Germany who did not anything wrong.. and yet they let the evils pass them by

Nitpick: blame the costume designer or the old times but Clooney who's mister chic kept bothering me with his pants who were too wide and/or short

The movie is short and yet it took me multiple attempts to finish which shows how uninteresting it was. I thought there was some novelty in having narration changed with the three main characters, that didn't carry very far
