This dark comedy chronicles the arduous path of an idea that gets mangled on its way to pilot season. It's a good idea (or maybe just Elvis' talk) but the execution is poor. I'm not sure if the lead actor is a genius or if he's truly this horrible. Weaver plays evil with a bit too much delight. Gruffudd had an interesting role, or the etching of one. He coulda saved the vision of the writer but he just stands by the train wreck. I suppose that is the message of the flick. Even my man, Mulder (Duchovny) sorta underperforms.
