This is one of the best movies of the 2007
Plot: A behind-the-scenes look at the annual Penguin World Surfing Championship, and its newest participant, up-and-comer Cody Maverick (LaBeouf).
Cute character design, the whole documentary angle (and camera movement) is really fresh. Animation here approaches perfection and of course the story is up right there on the quality level (although penguins in Hawaii don't make super sense.. same for that dazzling scene going down tunnels around.. hot lava?? haha still fun) This is one of those delightful movies you discover on your own, it didn't do that good at the box office or got great reviews (or maybe I missed em) The last scene is a perfect showcase of the animation genius here, luscious vibrant colors and the beautiful waves, serene and good points for music (alt. rock throughout the movie) Nice voice work by LaBeouf who gives a good distinct performance, Bridges (Big Z) and Deschanel (Lani) ain't so bad either. Heder plays the Chicken Joe Brannon was an animator on Toy Story 2 and Buck on Chicken Little (ok that one sucked).
