Plot: A strange black entity from another world bonds with Peter Parker and causes inner turmoil as he contends with new villains, temptations, and revenge.

This was a pretty big letdown especially as good as Spiderman 1 and 2 were. Critics also generally agree on the level of suckitude though I don't always agree

There were many problems from the roles of the villains to the special effects (so sterile video gamey), things are tired and need to be retired. In that climate, the cracks in the acting also show (Tobey! Kirsten!) and it's just a recipe for disaster

The movie almost doesn't have many moments, at least the splashier ones. Maybe emotionally we reach something when MJ still comes over to help Peter as he is lost over finding out about another killer for his uncle. Oh don't get me started on the kid dancing and prancing around, someone drank a lot on that one
