This is one of the best movies of the 2006

Plot: A case of mistaken identity lands Slevin (Josh Hartnett) into the middle of a war being plotted by two of the city's most rival crime bosses: The Rabbi (Ben Kingsley) and The Boss (Morgan Freeman). Slevin is under constant surveillance by relentless Detective Brikowski (Stanley Tucci) as well as the infamous assassin Goodkat (Bruce Willis) and finds himself having to hatch his own ingenious plot to get them before they get him.

Whoa really good flick that took me for a spin. It spans genres as diverse as comedy, romance and of course crime with a a gritty story. The mood matches two of my favorite flicks: Usual Suspects and Pulp Fiction

I took to the movie from the opening credits, it's always nice when they connect to the story. There was a very stylized direction (whoever shot/lit the scenes did a great job). In fact the rooms were .. I want to say strange but it's much cooler than that, the wallpaper is uncanny. Finally great performance by Hartnett (good script choices dude) with a strong supporting cast (love Liu, Willis not so much) who play colorful characters. The kid at Film Blather talks a lot more eloquently about the movie than I could ever so just read his praises

Director McGuigan and Hartnett worked on another gem Wicker Park. I believe he's to credit for the movie, he talks a bit about the movie in this interview. This was the first feature screenplay by newcomer Jason Smilovic. The director

Lucky Number Slevin is the most left field movie that came out this year, a nice pleasant surprise

The movie had one of the worst trailers I've seen, it's a small price to pay for a complex story
