This is one of the best movies of the 2005

Plot: A politically-charged epic about the state of the oil industry in the hands of those personally involved and affected by it.

Lauded everywhere and it delivered. Complex and textured, we follow the oil business from different perspectives (and locations). Much like the Constant Gardener gave us breathtaking images from East Africa, Syriana gives us an unique view of the Middle East, it's a fascinating place

Really impressed. Highlights: a short and gruesome torture scene, a portly and good Clooney, Damon makes numbers sexy (smart is cool), an ultra composed Alexander Siddig (Kingdom of Heaven), Chris Cooper, Amanda Peet crying (okay maybe not)

Also written by director Stephen Gaghan who's got a lot of writing credits but the most famous one is Traffic
