Plot: IMF leader Ethan Hunt comes face to face with a dangerous and sadistic arms dealer while trying to keep his identity secret in order to protect his girlfriend.
"M:i:III", I know.. who are they kidding? Still, pretty awesome, with all the hype too so this one you gosta watch in theaters. MI3 had great pacing and a ton of action, sure it's confusing at times but who cares, it's so much fun Writer and first time feature director J.J. Abrams is better known for his twists and turns on the show Alias, in fact the movie drifts toward that tv series but I am glad the conspiracy is kept to a minimum So impressive: a pretty cool intro (pre-credits, so Alias), on location scenes of Italy and China (if it wasn't, good blue screen job), that bridge scene (brace for it) Philip Seymour Hoffman gets a great role here that fits his portly self and his distinctive vocal delivery. Cruise is good, I mean I was a fan but the man has definitely gone crazy. His face seems a little bit swollen at times, what is it buddy, the crack? I found all the girls in the movie to be so bad ass, from newcomer Monaghan (cross of Liv Tyler and Katie Holmes, way hot) to Maggie Q to Kerry Russel (who's got a longtime relationship with Abrams from the tv show Felicity) Ebert points out astutely that the rabbit's foot is this movie's McGuffin MI3 is the best movie of the year (so far), cool one sheet End credit bonus: Kanye West Links - /reviews/album/2042/ost-original-sound-track/mi3 Last Updated 10/17/2006 8:20:35 PM 2hr 06min / Directed by J.J.
