thriller

Plot: A claustrophobic, Hitchcockian thriller. A bereaved woman and her daughter are flying home from Berlin to America. At 30,000 feet the child vanishes and nobody admits she was ever on that plane.
Heard good and bad things about the movie, the premise of losing your kid aboard a giant airplane is kinda silly, always liked Foster though Jodie Foster shows her age, especially in the first few scenes, added with the eerie mystery they are trying to pull and it's all kinda bad, her skin looks so made up The little girl playing her daughter (Lawston) has a small part but she certainly has a quality that could be well played in a horror movie though I'm glad she hasn't done so (yet?) In the end, the giant aircraft is a bit improbable though I thought the story was good, my friend Rene (girl) liked it also Solid cast: Jodie Foster is a bit on "autopilot" here reprising a role very similar to Panic Room, Bean who's very British but I always thought he could pass as a German (they take off from Berlin though I don't think his nationality is relevant), stiff hostess (Kate Beahan) who I thought was kinda hot, and Sarsgaard (Christensen is forgettable) Spoiler I kinda messed myself up, I read somewhere that Sarsgaard was the bad guy so it took away from the dramatic revelation at the end Links - http://www.togawp.com/movies/2006/01/flightplan_3_st.html Last Updated 2/5/2006 12:38:35 PM 1hr 38min / Directed by Robert Schwentke / Starring Jodie Foster, Peter Sarsgaard, Sean Bean, Kate Beahan, Erika Christensen, Marlene Lawston / Language: English / Watched: DVD | ||||
