Damon plays Mike Dermot, a guy who thinks he can beat the game (that's poker) straight up, as he is moonlighting as a law student. Unfortunately, he gets burned big time and tries to take his life into a new direction. However when his best friend Worm (Norton) comes out the joint, all that's about to change and he gets into it deep. Malkovich plays a vicious Russian guy who runs the only high stake game in New York, him and Damon have a couple of great runs at each other

Well before the poker craze since 2003-04, Damon takes into the science of the game, his comments are golden

On the special edition re-release, there are 2 pretty cool commentaries, one with a bunch of professional poker players including Johnny Chan who's talked about quite a bit in the movie
