Plot: The story of J.M. Barrie's friendship with a family who inspired him to create Peter Pan.
Nominated for many Oscars including best picture, it sure is one of the best made movies for the year, beautifully shot movies, great acting, a lot of emotions are poured in there I felt like the movie was kind of a poem of Barrie's life I'm not sure I really liked the movie going in and out of fantasies, though some of the production values are not to be missed (the set for the boat and ocean when Barrie and the kids are playing pirates in the garden) It's odd to see how much Johnny Depp has grown, he's so posed as J.M. Barrie, the lad sure had humble beginnings (erm 21 Jumpstreet), his British accent is mightly impressive. This is his best performance since Blow I suppose the movie is also a spotlight for Freddie Highmore who plays a stoic Peter I suppose I love the whole British feel to the flick, the kids, the always charming Kate Winslet Dustin Hoffman has a rare good performance as the man who puts up the money for Barrie's plays Last Updated 9/7/2005 10:38:38 AM 1hr 46min / Directed by Marc Forster / Starring Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Julie Christie, Radha Mitchell, Dustin Hoffman, Freddie Highmore / Language: English / Watched: DVD Also by Marc Forster - filmography (4 movies)
