Story of a down of his luck small fish Oscar (Smith) who works at a whale wash aspiring to become a somebody. He gets what he wants when the opportunity to take credit for a shark slaying presents itself.

It's not a bad story but they really messed up on the character design for the small fish which are most of the protagonists but the sharks and bigger fish look good. The problem lies with the designers trying to make the fish human like (with arms and legs)

There's a whole mafia angle with the sharks and the meaner fish. The funniest story actually revolves around Jack Black's character of Lenny who doesn't want to accept his role as a shark and heir to his father's family business (Don Lino voiced by De Niro), there's a big gay subplot about him dressing up like a dolphin

Director Martin Scorcese has a role as a blowfish who owns the business where Oscar works, Angelina Jolie has a small role as a gold digger

Whereas Nemo had the cutest and lovable characters, you can hardly make out what kind of fish are some of the main characters in Shark Tale.. they tried to do something different I guess with features based on the actors.. they still couldn't break from the song and dance finale we are now accustomed to in the Shrek movies.. quit that
