Plot: An eastern immigrant finds himself stranded in JFK airport, and must take up temporary residence there.
Based on a true story of a man stranded in an airport because his a coup in his home country voided his passport, jolly Eastern European man Viktor Navorski (Hanks) from fictional Krakozhia takes up residency in gate 67 when the airport borders administrator (a maniacal Tucci) orders him to remain in the terminal until things are stable again in his country Navroski does what he can to occupy his time while he waits and waits.. he takes up a construction job, makes friends, falls in love The whole thing is a big cheese, and Hanks' accent annoyed me quite a bit. Zeta-Jones is her usual radiant-self as a lost stewardess who finds comfort and understanding in the strange man.. watchable I suppose The Indian actor Kumar Pallana who plays the janitor has a knack for comedy, with his accent and with some of his fun impressions/gestures Last Updated 7/17/2005 5:51:00 PM 2hr 08min / Directed by Steven Spielberg / Starring Tom Hanks, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Stanley Tucci / Language: English / Watched: DVD Also by Steven Spielberg - filmography (19 movies)
