thriller
This is one of the best movies of the 2004
Not your typical airhead role for boy toy Kutcher, I mean this guy really splashed on the scene with "Dude, Where's My Car?"
After the traumatic suicide of a childhood friend he has left behind, Evan (Kutcher) goes through his diaries and finds himself transported to his past where the changes he makes have an effect on his present. He finds out later on that most of these experiences have unintended consequences. As a kid he had all these blackouts but later on we find out that they are tied to his future self going back and taking over his body as a child. It's pretty clever, and although there's the huge problem of how is this shit even possible, it makes for quite an interesting and intriguing premise. It would have been good if the movie stopped at him being in a mental institute and all this jumping back and forth into his child body was a mechanism to cope with his fucked up life. They however had to up the ante and make Kutcher essentially give up his life for the happiness of everyone else in his life. Pretty much in the weirdo movie category, this was one of the better surprises this year, kudos Last Updated 11/21/2004 2:14:53 AM 1hr 53min / Directed by Eric Bress, J.
