Oscar nominated for best picture, adapted from a novel
Very tragedy stuff, a young woman (Connelly) who's struggling in pretty much all aspects of her life is evicted from her home after failing to pay some taxes. She has an ill-fated relationship with a married deputy and they for a short moment find each other as they are both lost. An Iranian family soon move in, the head of its household (Kingsley) hoping to capitalize on the financial windfall in order to raise money for his son's future education Things spin out way out of control and anyone who's heard about the movie has some sense that very things are about to happen because of this house As a matter of fact, the movie starts with a scene at the house, it's night time. A police officer approaches Connelly's character and asks her if this is her house. That's basically what the whole movie is about From this movie (and any other she's been in really), I understand some people's fascination with Connelly, she's like, a real woman. She has these strong features, her eye brows for instance. Beauty incarnated This is not a great dvd cover Last Updated 12/19/2004 6:23:17 PM 2hr 06min / Directed by House Of Sand and Fog / Starring Jennifer Connelly, Ben Kingsley / Language: English / Watched: DVD | ||||
