Da Vinci Code (2003)
Dan Brown
mystery - ISBN 0385504209

Yup, I'm so late in the game.. Celeste is the one who told me about this novel, about a Harvard professor (neerrrd) who's after a secret encrypted in art works of Leonardo Da Vinci.

I remember reading the prologue at B&N. It's good. The novel has been topping the best seller list for a while, you can imagine it being pretty safe

The story opens on the murder of the Louvre museum curator, perpetrated by a sinister group after a secret that's been kept for ages. Langdon (the professor) is visiting Paris and brought in to help on the case, you can imagine a lot of French things, starting with language.

Langdon finds himself on the run from the French police from France to England, searching for the holiest of religious secrets with the help of a French cryptologist agent Sophie Neveu

Many exciting twists and turns make this an addictive read
