Harry Potter And The Order of the Phoenix (2003)
J.K. Rowling
fantasy - ISBN 043935806X

Harry's adventures continue in this 5th and longest (so far) volume of the popular wizard boy.. we find out exactly what is "the order of the phoenix" and loads more

Took me around 2 weeks to finish, overall kinda dragged on, Harry is becoming quite the teenager with a temper, having problems controlling his anger.. mostly gettin into disciplinary type problems

Harry does attempt to dabble into romance with the Asian girl Cho but his tact and sensibility leaves to be desired (reminds a lot of Ron's own lack of tact)

I liked the bits about his dad's days in college and a certain incident with Snape, the potion professor

We unfortunately lose a beloved character (whoof).. sniff..

We do get a great bit of exposition/conclusion by Dumbledore (very formulaic) .. he's supposed to explain a bunch of things and he does to an extent, but the whole thing feels a bit anticlimactic

Finally this volume shines by giving us the first wizard fights (adults vs adults, none of that Harry potter luck type stuff haha)

Way too long but still above the heap
