$30 general admission Went up late to sf cuz the opener was gonna be lame. Arrived with pretty good timing, parked at AMC theater structure across the street, got in, got a drink and Keane started around 9pm. They went with something fresh to start, "Put It Behind You" from the new album. Best moments: "Somewhere Only We Know" and current favorite "Leaving So Soon?". "Frog Prince" woulda been nice, maybe next time We got to get pretty close but even without that, I'd say it was 10x better than last concert in Berkeley over a year ago. It was pretty crowded too, though I thought there would be a lot more chicks Tom (vocals) and Tim (keyboards) are the soul of the band, I always try to like one more than the other but they're both very good. I read Keane is so radio friendly that they could achieve Coldplay stadium appeal.. yeah I dunno. Stadiums blow. We'll always have the small intimate stage of the Great American Music Hall The set list the iron sea put it behind you nothing in my way bend and break we might as well be strangers atlantic everybody's changing leaving so soon? hamburg song cant stop now somewhere only we know a bad dream this is the last time is it any wonder? - try again crystal ball bedshaped Some pics, entire set ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Links - http://flickr.com/photos/kewlio/sets/72157594173067628/ - blog post 5/7/2005 - Keane @ Berkeley Community Theater
