google translate vs yahoo! babel fish.. machine translation has ways to go

 Yahoo!'s competing translation tool was just released but it's basically just as crappy as Google's. Compare the Y! and G translation for the last postI'd go blow by blow and point out all the mistakes but one look at the post title and I saw it was a lost cause. "Watch Match Point" is translated to "Ball De Match de Montre".. "Ball De Match" is indeed "Match Point", but "Montre" is the French for wrist watch.. nice going (true: that was probably the worst error of the whole page) Someday, this shit will be perfect and we won't have to know another language, in the meantime, proud parents can send their kids to a French school or program (idea from GanBoy) Links - http://www.lifehacker.com/software/yahoo/translation-from-yahoo-170138... - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babel_fish
