Amazon Prime allows you to get 2-day shipping on any items Amazon stocks (third party like Foot Locker or J&R). You technically can share it with up to 4 relatives but I found that there were no limitations using my account to ship to friends (and several occasions using my friend's credit card to order) # of items purchased before joining Amazon Prime Nov 2004: 0 Dec: 5 Jan: 5 Mar: 3 Apr: 2 May: 3 Jun: 1 Aug: 3 - 22 totalling $654.92 = ~2.8/month, $29.77/order Biggest order: $329.94, Canon SD300 Smallest order: $25.67, couple of books # of items purchased after joining Amazon Prime Nov 2005: 4 (of which 1 for friends) Dec: 13 (of which 3 for friends) Jan: 4 Feb: 5 Mar: 1 - 27 totalling $848.02 = ~5.4/month, $31.41/order Biggest order: $249.99, Ipod Nano 4GB Smallest order: $6.99, cheapie Sony headphones Almost twice as many orders per month though something doesn't add up. The amount per order should be lower with Amazon Prime.. maybe the sample needs to be larger I think it really helped that there was no minimum purchase like the $25 to quality for the "FREE Super Saver Shipping", it sure was nice to have things delivered in a timely manner and it worked out real nice for xmas shopping but on the real, if you need something right away you'd most likely just go and get it at a store.. I am not renewing but for some reason John just enrolled.. he's rich Links - blog post 11/10/2005 - Amazon Prime free trial
