Carl Henderson (Flickr, iamcal) has a great talk about web 2.0 at the conference The Future Of Web Apps. His talk got me to liste to what others had to say: Steffen Meschkat (Google Maps) has some good stuff too on Ajax. Unfortunately I read a transcription of what Joshua Schachter (del.icio.us) talked about so it was a rehash. David Heinemeier Hansson (37 Signals, Ruby on Rails) had some fun musings about "beautiful code". Tom Coates (BBC, Yahoo!) talked with passion about ui If anything the talk is a great amalgam of accents: ultra British, German, and Danish The whole shebang was organized by Carson Workshops who created DropSend, Ryan "Carson" has a nice breakdown on how he started his web app ![]() So web 2.0 - clean urls, for alpha geeks (apache mod rewrite), easy to type, navigate, pretty to look at - ajax for any asynchronous requests - javascript rules - learn ruby, "convention over configuration" - try Basecamp free (project management) I listened to those on my nano, it rules. You can also get them at Odeo Update Cal's speech transcript Links - http://www.carsonworkshops.com/summit/
