nano, a week later

I'm late to the party, of course the nano rocks nano vs shuffle - size and weight (more than shuffle) is ok- lack of lanyard makes me extra sad (gives quick access to operations) - clickwheel is way senstive but doable - battery life is a lot worse than the shuffle ("up to" 14 hours advertised but that is probably assuming continuous play and who's gonna do that with that beautiful screen; shuffle is rated 12 hours) - delicateness, scared as hell to scratch it - rating songs is cool, there's a bug in the interface (sometimes get stuck on rating screen) but you can overcome it by skipping to a different song, you'd think the ratings help you find great songs but it's realistically better fit to weed out crappy ones - photos: screen is kinda small, supports folders (but not folders within folders).. a bit useless - hold button? not much use for that either - listenin to podcasts again (can't show subscription on Odeo? bah) - am loving (smart) playlists iSkin - the iSkin finally got here, the pouch/case the nano came with was weaks- mostly good: access to clickwheel a must, exposed ports and hold button - ice blue (on white) is hot - good grip, better feel around clickwheel (solves sensitivity issue) - screen protector - around the neck the nano definitely feels heavier (the lanyard could also be longer, it hangs like a pendant) - lanyard attach on a corner, kinda sucky but there are some design issues since the nano exposes two ports at the bottom - no use for the belt clip really, its stub on the back of the case is annoying - buy it from Amazon ($20) Update cool iSkin video review from Gadget Tv Links - blog post 2/7/2006 - iPod nano buyage, resistance is futile
Comments nice i wanna see the ice blue, looks ince in the pic. would you go jogging with the nano dangling from your neck tho? i can't really imagine that (the weight). lilgee on 2/15/2006 10:23:36 PM, 1023 days ago yup, the weight would be an obstacle.. the lanyard is nice for quick access (rather than fumbling around in pocket), good for commute or whatever, the case is cool for protection, nano needs it bad.. i'd run with it in hand (hand strap might be useful), or in pocket daniel on 2/16/2006 9:39:41 AM, 1022 days ago |
