ipod nano buyage, resistance is futile

 5 months is how long it took for me to crack but boredom (rather than excess cash) made me plunk down the $250 for a white 4GB iPod nano on Amazon (black is played out! hah I dunno). I think the nano and its display lend itself more to music discovery and podcasts. The album art on the screen is pretty coolUnpacking the nano  The new black packaging is very attractive with its silver engraving, deelish. Quite a lot of fun to open thoughI question the flap on one side, I woulda removed it altogether to make the box slide through either way. Otherwise it's standard issue: itunes cd, earbuds, cradle adapter, usb cable, nanos now ship with a protective sleeveImproving the nano - scratch resistant - lighter (John lied to me, the nano is almost twice as heavy as the shuffle, 1.5 over 0.78 ounces) - ship with standard lanyard like the shuffle cuz I ain't down with the in-ear lanyard headphones Case I rummaged iLounge for a good case with a lanyard but came up empty handed despite the dozen of reviews I checked out. I ended up getting an EZskin thanks to a cool video review, $20 on eBay Album art iTunes Art Importer made it way easy to udpate the iTunes library with album covers (from Amazon) News Today Apple released a 1GB nano for $149 which left me quite indifferent, I suppose it'll sell just as well. They're dropping the price on the 512MB shuffle to $69 and the 1GB to $99.
