![]() Happy Chinese new year. From Wikipedia In the Gregorian calendar, the Chinese New Year falls on different dates each year, on a date between January 21 and February 21.This year it falls on January 29 The Chinese horoscope is a great way to find a person's age. It cycles through 12 animals every year, so if you asked my brother David and he told you he was born in the year of the dog, you could quickly figure out that he turns 24 (his birth year 1982) If someone tells you he's a sheep (I like "lamb" hah), you'd have to go in your head "dog, rooster, monkey , sheep" that's 3 years older and now all you have to do is decide if they are turning 27 or 39 (or 15). Sounds easy enough (in theory) I suppose you would need to know the order of Chinese zodiac signs 1. rat 2. ox 3. tiger 4. rabbit (or hare) 5. dragon 6. snake 7. horse 8. goat (or sheep) 9. monkey 10. rooster 11. dog 12. pig (or boar) Links - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_New_Year
