It was a great year for concerts, I wish I went to more of em. I went to some by myself for the first time, it's actually kinda cool. My favorite shows were smaller venues, where I was on the floor, closer to the band ![]() Kele Okereke at the end of Bloc Party show @ Warfield, Sep 22 2005 Top 5 1. Interpol @ San Jose Civic Auditorium extremely fulfilling (hope to see them again soon), the timing of the show and how I started listening to Interpol was perfect, it's weird because I totally slept on Antics when it came out. Along with Turn On The Bright Lights, they are are up there on my all time favorite albums 2. Bloc Party @ Warfield Bloc Party is bad ass live, Matt Tong for president hah 3. Nada Surf @ Bimbo's ![]() kinda random because I liked their new album Weight Is A Gift just ok, it worked out because I discovered Let Go which is an amazing; cheapest show ($15); you can catch the trio Feb 23 @ Fillmore 4. Death Cab For Cutie @ Leavey Event Center/SCU chill and mellow, I think the crowd kinda sucked but the band sounded awesome, took some of my best concert pics here 5. U2 Vertigo Tour @ Oakland Arena ![]() super crappy seats, super awesome light show, and Bono rules Notable Download Festival @ Shoreline most fun (basically because of friends I went with) Keane @ Berkeley Community Theater 1st show of the year, it was cool My Morning Jacket @ Fillmore really good energy, just not that into MMJ Coldplay @ Shoreline kinda bleh Missed out Coldplay @ Fillmore (for this venue) Bloc Party @ Pop Scene (small club, $5) The Bravery (twice) The Subways, though they are back March 27 @ Slim's We Are Scientists Links - http://upcoming.org/user/10094/past/
