 Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Pt.1 [HG]never been too into the Flaming Lips but this is good, I just like hearing em say "Yoshimi" Halloween, Alaska - Drowned [SMS] nice chill, singer reminds me a bit of Death Cab's Ben Gibbard.. okay maybe jus a lil bit Her Space Holiday - Forever And A Day [TU] "misery loves company", the harmony on the singing in the intro can be a turn off but it gets quite engrossing/happy, Jay Chou may have sampled this for a song Salim Nourallah - 1978 [GVB] very chill acoustic-ish set, the song takes on a bigger dimension later, it prolly helps if that's your birth year The Knife - Heartbeats [GVB] groovy 80s pop throwback, check out them keyboards, singing is so outlandish (they be Swedish) The Rinse - Young Offender [YANP] cool uptempo rockin, main lick is kinda videogame-y Rogue Wave - Publish My Love [YANP] cool stuff you'd hear on The O.C., I miss the show (song is actually on the 5th vol. of the OC soundtrack) Links - blog post 10/17/2005 - New indie music
