ipod nano backlash

I almost went to get an iPod nano (black) this week-end, how I would have gotten to the Apple store is a good question. An even better one is what to do with my other 3 iPods. I went as far as quizzing Celeste who's the only person I know to have one. I actually told Gee to pick one up if he saw it at Fry's (nope)A recent story on screens getting scratched up chilled me a bit on it. Are the people on iLounge just being little whiny bitches? In truth, I don't really need the new thing, no one "needs" it, it's just really cool. The shuffle is turning out to be the most useful of all the iPods because of its size. Most of my iPod use is done while exercising so having a screen is not necessary. It's quite sturdy too cuz it gets banged around a lot (it is very light).. and I don't even have USB 2.0 on my old computer. The songs are getting somewhat stale but after losing my music drive, I've only added a little over 1 GB to iTunes.. Update Apple responds to iPod nano screen complaints - screen is the same as 4g, some quality issues but relatively small number of people should be affected, so kinda sorry no help, goodbye Links - http://www.engadget.com/entry/1234000970060464/ - blog post 9/22/2005 - iPod nano envy
