Had to find something to redeem that Google Desktop debacle. The next release of Firefox will be 1.5, beta 1 is currently out Neat-o - Faster page load! In particular rendering page previously visited, werd - New "Unable to connect" screen with a button to simply "try again", user-friendliness - Incremental updates via patches, no longer requiring downloading and installing complete new version - Reorder tabs, YES! I actually need that every now and then, simple drag-and-drop action - Fast access to clear history/privacy data (the porn stuff yo), a single click on the Tools menu or Ctrl+Shift+Del Lukewarm - more popup blocking, or so they say - reoganized layout of the options window, I liked it the way it was - rss feed icon moved from the status bar to the navigation toolbar Disclaimer eWeek reports bugs with the bookmarks (I only use the Bookmark Toolbar) and incompatibility with some extensions (don't use em) Verdict Not a huge update and beta is kinda bleh but it's Friday, yo do something Tip of the day (since version 1.x) Ctrl+# to access #th tab (Ctrl+2 goes straight to the 2nd tab) Download Firefox 1.5 Beta 1 - 4.92 MB Links - http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/
