Heads up from James and Lil Gee and the obligatory Engadget post (dang Gizmodo, what happened? They do redeem themselves with a fun post later)

Apple announced its newest iPod at the 2005 WWDC in San Francisco. The iPod nano is a hybrid of the shuffle and the mini (the latter has been discontinued)

Quickies
- flash memory of 2GB ($199) or 4GB ($249)
- comes in black or white
- an actual screen, dang, color (supports photos)
- click wheel
- 14 hour battery life
- small yo!
- complete list of features

The name is kinda blah, I want one

Update
- Engadget live blogs today's events which include Harry Potter audiobooks (crest engraving is hot), iTunes 5 (looks the suck), the long-rumored Motorola ROKR iTunes phone (aight I guess) and a performance by Kanye West (nice)
- Stream the video of the Apple Special Event with Steve Jobs (about 1h 10min), basically skip to the nano presentation
- Dang what was up with Kanye lettin them explicit lyrics fly on All Falls Down but performing a radio friendly Gold Digger

Update 2
