Why is this interesting? I have no idea, it's kind of stupid but this is all in the spirit of gossip or what not

Stewart Butterfield (is that name for real? damn good) and Caterina Fake
Canadians kinda suck (a baseless statement but something I love to throw around) but they as in Ludicorp have brought us the mighty Flickr, a darling of most bloggers, but also the most powerful online photo sharing service and community. I can't say enough good things about it, but can someone sponsor me (username kewlio) for a pro account already? Like now. Please (Update: done!)

- General Thinking profile of Buterfield "Married to the beautiful genius Caterina Fake..." (Feb 2003)
- Canadian Business Online "The husband-and-wife founding team behind online site Flickr..." (Jan 2005)

Mena
and Ben Trott
The Trotts, of Six Apart fame (or is it infamy) received early geek luv for Movable Type and later mass consumption success with TypePad. Six Apart is a huge player in blog publishing, especially after acquiring LiveJournal. I was recently reminded of them on a Memory Lane feature of IT Conversations

- Ben and Mena Trott (Answers.com) "Ben Trott and Mena G. Trott (...) are the married co-founders of Six Apart..."
- Six Apart Management

Jason Kottke
and Meg Hourihan
Jason is the cool guy behind Kottke.org, slick designs and mostly good reads, in particular the remaindered links. I first visited his site when I saw a credit for something on Gawker (I was hitting that hardcore, for like a week). He made the rounds not so long ago when he decided to turn pro (blogging full-time). I discovered Meg's site through the ill-conceived Kinja (always remember the cool tile-like top banner graphic) but Meg is more famous for co-founding Blogger with Evan Williams and Paul Bausch back in the pre-Google acquisition days of Pyra Labs. I remember revisiting her site (didn't quite get into rss yet) when she quit her job to become a chef, something which requires a bit of financial security (I'm not envious or anything, just jealous). She did kind of rescind her own words or what not, it's not important. Meg is cool because she went through a running craze with actual marathons under her belt, and she's one of the few Americans who love France (see Flickered adventures in Paris)

- You've Got Blog "...Meg and Jason were involved..." (Nov 2000)

The New Yorker article by Rebecca Mead (she shares MG's webmaster?) alludes to Jason moving to San Francisco to be with his bien-aimé. That was in 2000 which is very ancient history. They have since taken up residence in the Big Apple.

- Blogumentary "Yep, the first couple of blogging has parted ways" (Feb 2005)
- Kottke to blog full time "P.S. I'm Kottke's ex-girlfriend... posted by megnut" (Feb 2005)

I'm kind too lazy to swift through both their sites but I assume there is little mention about a break up since there's little mention about their relationship in general. So they're no longer an item huh.. I found some of their recent travel patterns quite suspiscious. Meg stayed in Paris over the summer where she learned quite a bit of French. Jason visited Paris and took a photo of Meg that she posted. This month, Meg visited her native Ireland and Jason posted some pics from his recent vacation. I don't know, isn't that a bit cozy? I guess I could email and ask them what is up but there's no fun in that

Pim Techamuanvivit and David Kinch
Okay this is a stretch but Pim has been a permanent fixture in food blogs with her insights and knowledge of the chef underworld at Chez Pim while Kinch is the chef highly praised for bringing gastronomie to Silicon Valley with restaurant Manresa, a lonely spot for fine cuisine in the South Bay (Area)

- What Do You Cook... "I don't write about my love life (...) reference to a certain David who is now a figure in my life. (...) So I am just going to come out and say it. Yes, it is that David, whose arm I was decorating at the reception..." (May 2005)

Dawn Miceli and Drew Domkus
Probably considered podcasting royalty, the foul-mouthed Wisconsin couple has been a pioneer of the podcasting revolution (if there's such a thing). While they abuse each other verbally and otherwise, you can tell there's real love in there. Tune in for the hilarious Dawn & Drew Show

- OnMilwaukee "The energetic couple -- they're married, too --" (Mar 2005)

Lisa and Greg Mays
I remember checking Viva Podcast through Reel Reviews (formerly MWG Blog) thinking it was another podcast about movies but it's more like a mellow Dawn and Drew Show without all that sick profanity. Oh yeah and it's "from the desert of New Mexico". What they probably lack in popularity (May ranking at Podcast Alley is 63 vs 3 for Dawn and Drew), they surely make up with the spunkiest podcast opening theme I've heard (maybe I need to credit The Clash)

- Las Cruces Sun-News "The twentysomething married couple.." (Apr 2005)

You might think the story was prompted by my unhealthy obsession with Jason and Meg but it was Pim's self-outting that really got me going. It's hardly investigative journalism or anything, just got bored (more than usual).
