 flickr is the current online photo sharing site that reigns supreme (maybe just with geeks), there are some some cool Flash tricks and a lot of community features. You can try it for free (limited to 100 pictures though) I love checking out the virtual notes people add to their pictures, it's a way of pointing to a specific area and add a caption.
