faking your friends out - mobile technology at your service

I was complaining to my friend about how I didn't know how to send a call to voice mail (VM) with my Samsung SCH-a670 (a lil sad, considering I've had the cell phone for 5 months), something you might have to do while in a meeting, in a movie theater or simply cuz you don't wanna talk to them people you pretend are your friends. Being a total idiot (and also being too lazy to pick up the manual, who reads manuals??), I have been flipping the phone open then pressing the [end] button to terminate the call. You can see how that can be a little annoying for the caller, it'd pick up and immediately hang up on your face hah While checking my messages from a landline (Verizon lets you do that, simply call your number, and press # when you get to the VM), I tried what Rene told me to drop a call, simply hitting any of the 3 outside buttons of your phone (up or down on the left, camera on the right) will stop any vib+ringing as well as send your caller to VM if they wait long enough In the past (and I'm talking about Pacific Bell Wireless/Nokia 6110 days, circa 1999?), doing so would send your caller directly to the VM, signalling your high desire not to be disturbed or simply an advance level of annoyance. Today however, I'm guessing your carrier rather than your phone upon receiving an end call request will keep the ringback tone going a lot longer, as if you really did miss the call. Beautiful ain't it? In passing, you know your phone is old when you have to scroll to page 2+ browsing your manufacturer at Phone Scoop, me sad Links - blog post 11/6/2004 - Samsung SCH-a670, a quick review - http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=360
