Esquire remains consistently a magazine I'd actually pay for (and I don't like to pay for much)

The latest Esquire (March) has a very cool 50-point style guide titled The New Laws of Fashion, very necessary for any young urban professionals (basically no one I know). It's still a trip to read through though

There were some other goodies of course

The very eye-catching Annotated Press Release (by the now unmasked Defamer no less) gives us an insider view on the push (delay) of Disney and Pixar's next movie Cars from 2005 to summer 2006. The whole page has a very deja-vu feel of adding notes to a flickr picture

As a (wannabe) foodie, I really enjoyed The Best Bites of Food in the U.S.A., the picture collages and of course the recos on where to go

The final page This Way Out has a great visual representation of the cost of a $8 movie ticket (here takin a stab at Constantine): despite the whole humor thing ($0.12 to reserve domain names such as constantinesucks.com), largest expense is $4.24 for cast while screenwriters get a measly $0.32. Ouch

Other highlights include the numerous quotables, good pics (Keri Russel, you're in my heart again hahha, not really), awful pics (who even knew Eva Mendes could be anything else than hot, check the last picture), Barry Sonnenfeld's ever entertaining gadget guide (Phones/PDAs), Klosterman's great article on sweeping generational trends (a la VH1's "I Love the xx's"), Puma's weird and kinda cool (but really weird) Starck ad (check the website, I'm not sure anyone who wear this but the ad works). Oh yeah there was a huge thick-stock multi page ad for bodog.com, and last week my homey Bernie was predicting the explosion of online gaming and (sports) betting
