1st post of the year, had quite a bit of fun this new year's eve

we left for san francisco early friday after gettin some food at safeway (~ $40), weather was actually ok but turned to ass by the time we got there

we parked the car at the hotel, $45. our room at the hyatt on union square was weird, not a suite proper but 2 connected rooms with beds in one and a couch in the other, kinda weaks. $380. the hotel is pretty cool, they had all these rules though because of nye on noise level and guest admissions, a bit of a pain. lucy actually went to get herself an outfit at saks, kinda last minute there

we just kicked it and watched the hulk and some whack show on upn where they dance (3-6-ohhh). after gee and tina came we started drinkin before we went to dinner at anzu. we were supposed to go to morton's but we waited too long to get a reservation. we found anzu on opentable and it looked okay but it was really subpar. not really japanese food, $110

we went back to the hotel to get more drinks and pop some champagne. didnt get to the a-list party till 945p id guess. it was nice that the westin is so close. it's a pretty nice hotel. the line was crazy, i think it stretched at least 2 blocks long. it was startin to rain too. thankfully lucy knew someone in the front so we jus hopped in. everything is sort of a blur after that, the open bar shit wasnt a good idea, waited forever to get drinks. there were multiple rooms but i really just stayed in that first room by the entrance (main ballroom). i remember seein a bunch friends, it was cool. i missed the countdown, really dont have any recollection about it. i dont remember walking around that much, i was around the bar area to the left of the room

the party ended up kinda fast, all of the sudden we were leaving. gee tells me they shut it down at 2am, which is so early. got back to the hyatt where they really checked names on a list, but at the same time they didn't ask me, i dunno. slept hard, i dont think anyone really post partied

felt so dehydrated in the morning, thx cary for bringin the bottled water. lucy spent the mornin in and out of the bathroom pukin it, i had a hard time takin a dump, tho i enjoyed watchin some of the rose bowl parade on the bathroom tv (shit was kinda small). we headed back to cupertino at about 1pm, lucy actually returned her stuff at saks haha. thx for drivin john

a good time for sure, it was cool to dress up and see everyone, real festive. i thought it was fun how gee and james tucked in their shirt, dannnng hahha. i hope we get a better room next year, the bridal suite with jacuzzi and shit is only $1400
