tsunamis' new scale of disaster - relief, tech style

Some 3100 were killed on 9/11, it was pretty bad.. however, an astounding bodycount of 80,000 is piling up since Dec. 26 in the aftermath of a huge earthquake and its subsequent tsunami in South East Asia (they are still uncovering bodies), sad stuff tsu·na·mi n. pl. tsu·na·mis A very large ocean wave caused by an underwater earthquake or volcanic eruption.We're so far away but one thing can do is donate $ to help the relief effort.. notable in geek world, Amazon has setup its 1-Click system to help collect money for the Red Cross (at one point, it was getting $1300/min). Apple's entire home page is devoted to the disaster and some of the major help organizations.
