So I broke my antenna for the nth time on my trusty old Motorola v60, time to get rid of it, I mean I've been out of my contract since May I stopped by the Verizon store and asked about upgrade but there wasn't any deals. For small flip phones it was either the Samsung SCH-a670 or Audiovox 8600 model that looked way plasticky. It's small but even thicker than my current phone. Respectively priced at $120 and $70 aftera $50 rebate. You gotta factor in the tax on original price and it's not really that fun. I remember calling and asking about upgrades and the lady said there was a $100 I could use toward any phone but the actual rep (lil hoe) at the store said there was no such thing. Basically getting the same deal as anyone who was signing new contract. I was almost gonna get that Audiovox thing but thought fuck it. Looks kinda gay I went home and checked online. After you login, you can do upgrade your phone and there is a special discount. It's not $100 straight up but it doesn't matter because that Samsung comes out to free, with only $18 and change in tax to pay (shipped free as well). Sweet The SCH-a670 is like the flagship Samsung phone at Verizon, metallic finish and small form factor (the Motorolas have nice specs but why do they have to be so big). It comes with a very useless camera and some video features. That's pretty retarded, then again what sold me is how the antenna is shaped on this new phone, it's very slick Links - http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=360 - http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=244 - http://www.verizonwireless.com - blog post 8/7/2003 - Stupid antenna
