It's pretty nice to be back, went out Friday to Rouge which can really be called the Bay Area Friday hot spot, got major faded so it really doesn't matter but I thought it was good On Friday also, I got reunited with my car via a 500 mile drive, Acura didn't really help so fuck them. It was a long and uncomfortable trip but having no car is really sad in Cali While at Borders, I flipped through a couple of books I've recently read about. Pleasure of my Company by comedian Steve Martin was trying to be too quirky. However, I devoured many pages of the new Palahniuk (Fight Club) book Stranger Than Fiction, which I think will turn me onto minimalism. A visit to Tommy Bahamas confirmed my suspicion that the store is for old folks (with money) It was Paul and Nancy's engagement party Saturday, the tropical theme really meant Hawaiian print and it was largely followed. Many of us had time slots for bartending which was interesting. Everything was pretty chill (save for the wedding planner). It was good to catch up with kids I haven't seen in a while, and I met some new people too. Congrats to the happy couple Sunday was the JLA annual bbq in Ortega Park, Sunnyvale, a mostly mv dominated event haha. Pretty relaxing. Hot dogs and burgers and desserts and beer. I don't usually see Mexicans playing basketball so Gee and I were laughing about the proper etiquette while waiting for them to finish their game. We were just being dorky of course. Playing basketball in flip flops is gangsta or gay Rounded up the day watching a lotta tv on the couch. I've watched an outrageous number of episodes of the West Wing in the past month, somethin like 40. We're gearing up for season 6, though my interest has waned, the old stuff is still rocking. There's so much similarities with Sports Night (another Sorkin show): it's all in the dialogue rhythm Links - http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0385504489/kewlio-20/ - http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4260665093&code=11470770&mode=in... - http://s380-pc.stanford.edu/pics/paulnancy/ - http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=fu2bfuf.b9xmsfnr&x=1&y=dvyi43
