I was running by North Park on First St (yeah running to work this week, it's been... uhhmm interesting) and noticed this random flag next to the US flag and one other which I'm totally drawing a blank on. As I got closer, I saw the mighty flag of the City of San Jose, who knew hehe. I was looking it up and stumbled on the most ludicrous thing, vexillology (the study of flags... thats just faggg!)

It's a bit less than 6 miles to run to work from my house, I've tried a couple of alternate routes but it takes me about an hour. It's mostly ghetto until you get on First St or sections of Zanker meaning there's no pavement to run on and I'm using the bike lane. The biggest problem (besides my bum ankle) is that it's real cold in the morning, like the sun ain't shining yet! I've gotten a couple of weird looks from drivers, like "wtf are you doing kid?" but it's mostly okay. I think one day I'm gonna get run over though, knock on wood. I wonder if cops can cite you for running on a street that has no walkway. I've been by that CHP HQ on Junction but the cops there paid no mind to me. They're probably itching to catch some speeder on the freeway

Driving up down to LA, John and I saw one crazy mofo we called Audi Dude, driving a hatchback A4. He was weaving in and out like no other and wouldn't let this van cut in at one of those slower sections on the 5, where trucks are passing each other. It was kinda funny. John tried to follow him a bit but eventually gave up. I fell asleep for a good portion of that ride

I'll be going on my 15-day world tour tonight, my boss is so excited (not). First stop, Taipei for the week-end and hanging out with Johnny. Man this kid's been gone since Oct, some 270 days ago. It really has been a long time. Next I'll meet up with family who's been chilling in HK for like a month while my brother David has started his internship there. My other brother Denis told me a couple of things. I'll get mad bored there, I'm gonna get fat cuz all we do is eat good food and finally the weather is damn hot. I'll just check some of the 600 pirated dvds they got in China, why not. Finally we head back to France for a week. I may get stranded there as I renew my visa, there's some delays because of new rules and processes at the US Embassy introduced in light of all that terrorist hoopla. I guess there are worst things than being stranded in Paris. I'm gonna be eating so much

My flight is at 1:35am tonight at SFO. I had planned on meeting up with Claudia but she kinda mixed up her date, she left yesterday or rather today Thursday in the am for a family trip in HK and China, and Bali wherever that is

The flight and this trip should be good in general to catch up on some reading. The flight is so long, like 12 hours. I don't even wanna think about it. I do have both my iPod and my brother's mini so that should guarantee plenty of music even after one of em runs out of battery. That 4G iPod with the extended battery life is looking good. I plan on taking a million pics though I forgot my 2nd sd card in my car, which will be sitting in Bakersfield till I get back. They let me know the transmission died and is covered by an extended warranty due to a recall, yeah go Acura. Piece of shit car company. I also forgot this cool Rucka book I got from the library. I can already hear them ringing up my late fee charges. Dangs!
