I coulda used a mellow week-end but LA was calling out and we had planned on going for a while. It was a lotta fun, mostly.

Cabazon and desert shopping was off the hook, Riverside was a lot nicer than I thought. Din Tai Fung is now 2 for 2 and no hype there, it's on point. Oh yeah I saw Norman from the Real World New York (I thought SF but my mistake) there, so random. It looked like him and then it didn't but finally I talked to him to make sure as we were heading out. It was him indeed, we shook hands and he seemed nice enough, jus hanging out with friends. If he counts as a celebrity then my streak is still alive haha

Famed hot dog joint Pink's was just ehhhh.. That line *is* retarded. Santa Monica was safe and clubbing was sure a lotta eye candy. Showing up at 9:30p helped with not having to wait in line. Had planned on checking out Nobu Malibu but the reservations people just laughed at us when we called a day ahead. Booked 2 weeks solid, my bad. Our alternate was this steakhouse in Old Town Pasadena but we never really made it there.

BCD for after party eats was still very solid, we tried this other place called Hodori in K-Town and it was so packed. Food was good but BCD better, I burnt my upper lip on their sundubu hahha.

The drive back was interesting. My car died and left us hanging on the side of the road outside Gorman on the 5 (30 miles after Valencia). We got a tow to get us to Bakersfield ($320 rape-age, that shit hurt) where we left my car at the Acura dealership and got a rental from the airport. Who knew they had an airport? It's really more like an air strip. Bakersfield is boonies, not playing

Basically it took us like 10 hours to get back, Oldsmobile Aleron for reals.. Piece of shit car, like time to get something else. I'm dropping off the rental at SJC Monday after work, it'll be whack not to have a car for a few days. I doubt they can fix my car before I go back home to France so I hope all that shit works out.
