rss/xml

hacked up some xml (to put it mildly) for the ever growing popularity with rss (really simple syndication) feed phenom (got blog?). i think the format for that file ain't really correct, oh well anyways, mostly geek stuff, but it allows sites/applications that gather rss feeds to aggregate headlines+summaries from various sites, yahoo! has added this to their popular my yahoo! pages a few weeks back, quite a quick.. so the gist, with a rss viewer, you don't need to visit all those sites, rather it gets all the latest stories in one place.. very convenient for web junkies' most popular websites have rss feeds: on the top of my lists are slashdot, cnn, cnet news.. I got about 30 feeds spread across two pages, it's pretty sad for less geeky people who wanna unleash their thoughts onto the world, a few sites have been quite popular from the ready to go xanga (mostly online journal) to more advanced/control stuff for power users over at blogger (the first blog site really) and typepad (using movable type).. I've seen some cool sites using this latter platform, hot stuff Links - index.xml - http://www.webreference.com/authoring/languages/xml/rss/intro/ - http://blogger.com - http://typepad.com
