There's a new limited series (6 eps) on Showtime called Out of Order. It stars Eric Stoltz (various secondary roles in movies) and Felicity Huffman (Sports Night tv show) as a writing couple of Hollywood, it's a new kind of family drama, following very real and yet dramatic problems that life can give to a couple. The show tackles a lot of themes that are becoming big issues for our last decade: depression, sexual abuse, and adultery. Nothing is black and white though and these nuances make life so interesting.

It has been said that the show is largely inspired by show creators and actual writing couple Donna and Wayne Powers (who also wrote the Italian Job for this summer). The 2-hour premiere was very promising.

The show is very raw, beautifully shot and intensily acted. It really shows that the future of television might be on cable as opposed to broadcast tv (less restriction on language, nudity, violence). Check it out on Mondays 10PM, you got to have Showtime of course
