I was working on this mega post the week after I got back from Maui but stuff just got in the way. Anyhoo I was in Hawaii with my family for a week almost a month ago, got tanned and ate a ton. Mad chillax. Everyday was beach + pool around plans for food. No hike, no shopping (YES!).. some exercising (mostly my brothers). Fatness

Speaking of the iPhone, this new 3G battery life is crummy (around 4-5 hours, regular to intensive use). It forced me into this at the Honolulu layover

The horror. I gotta get one of them battery packs (Brando or Richard Solo)

We mostly stayed around our hotel in Kihei which is South Maui, check the mappy

We rented a Pacifica for our stay, it's almost a SUV with a great idea (3rd row) poorly executed (access is horrible, need to fold a seat and hop over its depth length)

BTW Thritfy charges for additional drivers. Also their liability insurance is ~ $24 per day (it's $10 cheaper in SF). For reference, Citi card has some LDW ish covered

Food food food (I would skip the popular Sansei, unless you are dying for sushi), more Hawaii eats
