Two months ago, Gee, James and I decided to lunch at every single restaurant in Milpitas Square, the Asian restaurant plaza around 99 Ranch Market. We went in order and started on the far end to the left (Won Kee) finishing up Monday with the last of two restaurants in the middle. We took occasional breaks here and there citing special made up rules in case one of us was not there or if someone else came along. Some places are omitted because they do not sell food for lunch (i.e. Fantasia)

I guess we have to shout out Quickly that got about 100% of our post lunch business (including an actual lunch stop) with an effective milk tea pricing strategy (from ¢50 to $1.29) and mostly good 雞蛋仔 (egg nuggets), even at $3.50. They have wi-fi too. We took these out there on Ophelia day, one of the worst

Update 1
In late 2007, two restaurants popped up: Chili Garden replacing Lu Lai (won't miss it) and Royal Bistro replacing Jujubi Cafe (under construction during the project)

Update 2
In March 2008, Ay Chung was renamed to Ocean Harbor Cafe: same menu different name

Update 3
Went to Chili Garden finally in June 2008, that place has cheap food but you pay for what you get

Update 4
Fujisan closed and reopened as two restaurants: one for Japanese food and one for Korean tofu (In Chon).. funny thing is they are connected and ran by Chinese (Taiwanese?) folks. Oh yeah Ophelia closed I think, replaced by Loving Hut (a vegetarian, maybe chain)

We have sadly embarked on a follow up to this with the lovely McCarthy Ranch. It includes In-N-Out, Taco Bell, possibly two McDonalds, Hometown Buffet, Macaroni Grill and Banana Leaf
