This was a much needed return to live shows, my last outing being the draining Rock The Bells fest 3 weeks ago

Grand Ole Party and Jonathan Rice (who's collaborating on one song in the new album) opened up, the first act being quite good, YYY-esque vocals. Jonathan Rice was more on some classic rock ish, I couldn't quite get into it but the girls really liked him. People went a bit nuts when DCFC's Ben Gibbard joined in on the last song

Rilo Kiley delivered on so many levels, how is it that the sound for the main band is always that much more awesome. It was very much the Blake and Jenny show, no qualms. Ms Lewis is stunning and that voice can carry

This was the first US show on their current tour (they returned from Europe) so that was special for them and us. The audience loved it. They played a set heavy on Under The Blacklight (no "Pictures Of Success"), it was quite swell. Highlights: a cover for "Rise up with fists", everything off 'Blacklight including a cool rendition of "Give A Little Love" and that grand finale, scrumptious
