This is the market for real people, as opposed to the fancy one at the Ferry Building. Sure the weather is never as good and we are miles from the bay (about a mile and a half actually) but the stuff is fresh, and cheap. Here are some cool stands (can you guess which pics were taken with the iPhone?) ![]() Egg man: $1 dozen (small, white), sweet ![]() Nuts man: all about the salted pistachios, $6 for a pound ![]() Lettuce man (Two Dog Farm): they have edible flowers which is on some whack ish, can't stay mad at $1 lettuce ![]() Nectarine girls (Cipponeri), they also have peaches and more, actually not organic but they don't spray chemical on the fruits.. irrelevant but they be cuteys ![]() Fish ![]() Flowers They have a ton of fruits and vegetables (I also get my cucumbers, bellpeppers and tomatoes) + also smoothies, falafels (and maybe some hot tamales). Only thing missing is a butcher and a baker ha OMG my girl e told me they sell live chickens there, that is kinda nuts! I checked it out, it's setup by the fountain art thingy (to the left of that with your back to Market St) Bonus: right off the Civic Center Bart station; it's off Market so it's served by the F, 6, 71, 9, 21 + 5, 19 Muni lines (and to some extent the 47, 49, 14, 26) Bonus 2: an excuse to take a peek at the Federal Building @ 7th & Mission The Civic Center farmers' market takes place Wednesday and Sunday mornings Heart of the City Farmers' Market @ United Nations Plaza 1182 Market St San Francisco, CA 94102 Google Maps (Market bet. 7th and 8th) Yelp Some gorgeous shots from Eric in SF ![]() ![]() More pics, entire set ![]() ![]()
