Gotta big up the Barr on this one, with special assistance from Torr, the Filter kids are good. They had the inside track with Midnight Movies who are from LA. The band started pretty late around 11:30p and the crowd at Popscene was pretty sparse, I think most people were more excited about the special prom night they had. Ahh kids.. I gotta say there was a bit of false advertising having read "spooky rock group with a universally agreed upon pretty lead singer. And drummer". I suppose it was about half correct. No disrespect Midnight Movies played for almost an hour. The high points for me were "Patient Eye" which has a kick ass remix by James Iha on the band's MySpace, as well as the finale which was psychedelic to the fullest Midnight Movies set list - Lion song - Should hav known - Parallel Paramour - Mirage - Nights - Souvenirs - Patient eye - Coral den - Strange design Some pics, entire set
