I checked the Wessel photos during the Picasso show preview, it took the NYT to remind me. Black and white isn't so much my thing, some of it was ok. Still, it beat out the dull Picasso paintings haha, such a hater I remember a series on suburban houses ("house pictures", hello color) that was pretty amazing, as well as those iconic gas stations (kinda popular) ![]() This SF picture is one of my favorites actually. I think they're waiting for the bus (the 14?), downtown. Oh word, he lives here and is on faculty at the SFAI. I was just there last week Admission to MOMA is free today (first Tuesday of the month), $12.50 regular, $7 student (most basic membership is $75 a year) Henry Wessel: Photographs January 27, 2007 - April 22, 2007 SF MOMA 151 3rd St San Francisco, CA 94103 (415) 357-4000 sfmoma.org Oh and speaking of photography, I can't wait for the Jeff Wall exhibit later this year Links - http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/06/arts/design/06wess.html?ei=5088&en=4... - http://www.sfmoma.org/exhibitions/exhib_detail.asp?id=254 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Wessel%2C_Jr. - blog post 1/17/2006 - Chuck Close at SF MOMA - blog post 10/10/2004 - San Francisco MOMA
