'Tis the season of lists. The best shows were the smaller ones, definitely (closer is better). Best venue was Mezzanine, based on size, crowd, shows booked (and proximity). Warfield's the runner up though their prices are kinda sucky (special mention to Popscene/330 Ritch). Big ups to brooklynvegan and Upcoming.org for keeping me in the know

I'm bummed that Bloc Party pulled out of what would have been my last show of the year but it works out since I can't stand P!ATD. For 2007, thinking about Girl Talk in January, it's early. Hopefully see Bloc Party who should be promoting their new album (small venue please), otherwise on my wish: Interpol, The Bravery, Editors, YYYs, The Killers
